34-36 Weeks and More!

We are moving right along, and the baby will be here before we know it!  I just hope we have a name picked out before he arrives :).  I'm starting to slow down a little, but I certainly have a lot left to do before he comes into the world.  I started my weekly doctors appointments on Tuesday and I am just one centimeter dialiated as of now.  She gave us no indication that the baby would be here early or late, so we are not anticipating his arrival until around May 18th.  However, after a trip to Buy Buy Baby this weekend, we will be ready and waiting for him!

34 Weeks - Thursday, April 7th
{18 inches from head to heel, about 4 3/4 pounds - about the size of a cantaloupe}

35 Weeks - Thursday, April 14th
{over 18 inches from head to heel, about 5 1/4 pounds - about the size of a honeydew melon}

36 Weeks - Thursday, April 21st
{8 1/2 inches from head to heel, almost 6 pounds - about the size of a crenshaw melon}

We had our baby shower earlier this month, and it was such a wonderful day.  My sweet friends did an amazing job of everything, I could not have asked for anything more.  It was perfect!  A sneak peak of the morning...

How creative is this candy station of sweet treats...gummy bears, peppermint patties, and twizzlers...one of my favorite parts of the day.  Although all of the goodies are now gone :), I think I may fill the left over baggies for the nurses and visitors at the hospital.

Everyone wrote such sweet notes to hang on the dogwood branches!

Mom's gift was a hit at the shower!  She is super talented, we are so very lucky!  I can't wait to see the little man all wrapped up in his pea in the pod!

All of my sweet friends who were gracious enough to host the shower for us!  I cannot thank you all enough for such a special day!
Lastly, I have made just a few more onesies for the little man and am working on a couple more ideas!  I would love to hear your ideas for more...they are so fun to make!

We are celebrating our first anniversary on Sunday - my how the time flies!  Happy Easter!

31 Weeks and Newborn Onesies

31 Weeks - Thursday, March 17th
{16 inches from head to heel, about 3.3 pounds about the size of four naval oranges}

Baby Moss has been moving A LOT lately, hopefully a sign of an active and healthy baby boy.  My belly button has not popped out all the way yet, but...

Last weekend, Lala and I made a few play outfits for the baby.  We thought we would start with inexpensive white onesies to see if we could make them work, and as it turns out, they were quick, easy, and rather cute!

If you have any ideas, please share!  I think I may try a few more this weekend...

One last picture of the nursery with the latest addition - a beautiful blanket.  I think momma will enjoy the blanket more than the baby!

Nursery {Part 2}

My dear husband gave me the BEST Christmas gift - one of Liz Landgren's paintings from This Funky Junky!  Now I just have to decide what I want, and I am very indecisive by nature.  I need your help!

I have posted a few of Liz's paintings from her blog below - which do you like the best?  If you have a favorite, please let me know!

A Hoot and a Holler - Wouldn't this be perfect for twins!?

Meet Al

Meet Al - he is handsome and quite photogenic with beautiful greenish blue eyes and masculine features.  He is a little on the shorter and wider side, but sits up nicely.  His features are simple, yet distinctive enough to define him as an owl....

Al certainly needs a little work.....I would like to add wings and legs to Al, so he would feel and look more like an owl, but I think we are off to a good start!

In the beginning...

Al...

I have also been busy making Christmas presents for all of the little ones this weekend {Al's fabric may appear later!}  More details to follow after Christmas, I don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone!

By the way, did you see the snow today?  Who would have thought?!?  Clearly not a blizzard by any stretch of the imagination, but if you look hard enough you may spot a few flurries...

Nursery {Part 1}

Thinking of OWLS - fairly gender neutral, right?!?

I love this painting!  It's called the "Remember the Owlamo" from This Funky Junky blog by Liz in Birmingham.  Check out her blog and other paintings!

Love this one too!

Mom also found these adorable handmade owls on Etsy.  There are so many, it's hard to choose!

This nursery is simple yet beautiful!  If the bull was only an owl...

17 weeks tomorrow!
