Happy Easter!

What a wonderful Easter Sunday!  We visited St. Pauls in Selma today for the Easter service and afterwards for lunch.  We loved seeing Robbie, Lala, Uncle Alex, Kelly, Toot, Uncle Ralph and Aunt Grace (and everyone else, of course).  The bishop visits St. Pauls every Easter; it is always a treat.

The Easter Bunny came to see Webber this morning.  He loved the eggs filled with cheerios, so much so that they ended up all over the floor...

Can't get enough of the baby in the bunny ears, too funny...

Webber is about to be 11 months old, wow.  This is the best we could do for our 10 month picture.

He started crawling the day before his 10 month birthday.  He quickly gained confidence to pull up on anything and everything, and hopefully is learning to hang on tight (notice the bump on his noggin' above his right eye)!  As of yesterday, he is now standing up in his crib while he is supposed to be napping and/or sleeping.  How quickly things change!

As of 4/8/2012, Webber loves:
1. Rags
2. Left hand, pinky and ring fingers
3. Blackberries (fruit, not the phone)

Webber does not love:
1. The grass (I wish I had a picture of this today, ha!)
2. Avacados

Thanksgiving and 7 Months (going on 8)

Where has the last 7 months gone?!  It seems like every time I update my blog {and pat myself on the back}, it's way past time to do it again.  Life has been crazier than ever before, but I know that being "busy" is just part of it.  'Tis the season!

Little man is growing up quickly.  We have been eating food for about a month now, but still no finger foods.  I gave him a yogurt melt last week, and you should have seen his face...GROSS!  It is quite refreshing {sometimes} to know what they are thinking!  I just wish it was the same when he was crying, I still have a hard time determining why.

Over the Thanksgiving break, we had pictures taken of Webber in his christening gown made by Lala.  It was a huge success, and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with Holland.  She was wonderful and I highly recommend her!

On Thanksgiving day, we made our annual trip to the Jones Place in Perry County where little man got to visit with his great-grandmother Tootie along with his sweet cousins from Tuscaloosa! It was great to be with family, even for just a few hours.

We then continued our pilgrimage down to the beach where we were able to relax for the rest of the weekend. Thanksgiving is quickly becoming my favorite holiday of the year and the beach is where it's at on Thanksgiving weekend!

I was up EARLY every morning with Webber {like, before the sun came up}, but at least I was able to actually see the beautiful sunrise each morning...

The weather was fantastic.  I have learned that you never go to the beach without flip flops, shorts and a bathing suit, no matter what time of year.  I actually put on all three at least once over the weekend!  It was warm enough to sit in the sun and catch some rays, but not nearly warm enough to get into the water {unless you are under the age of 9 and/or from the North}.  There were plenty of kiddos jumping around in the water while their parents watched from shore bundled all up in a sweater.  That's a good sign that it's probably too cold to venture in :).

Webber had his 7 month milestone on December 15th.  This picture was the best I could do by myself, I just couldn't get that hand out of his mouth!  But, it's an accurate reflection of where we are these days, or at least where his hands are at all times.  We were able to get rid of the pacifier without a problem, but his hands are not going anywhere anytime soon...

Big Day

Guess who turned 6 months old today?!

Webber just started sitting up on his own and loves it.  He certainly prefers to be sitting up rather than lying down, but who wouldn't, right?  After lying on his back for six months, it's time to see the world from a different point of view!

We also gave him rice cereal for the first time over the weekend, and he couldn't get enough.  I had no idea what I was getting into myself, what a mess!  We obviously need to invest in a plastic bib...

Is it too early to start planning his first birthday party?  If the next six months go by as quickly as the first, I better get started!

We are looking forward to spending time with our families next week for Thanksgiving!  We have lots of birthdays to celebrate..Lala, Big Toot, and Aunt Katherine...so we will be sure to eat an extra piece of cake on Thanksgiving to properly honor everyone's birthday!

A day in the life of Webber

Since starting back work two weeks ago, life has been anything but normal, if there is such a thing.  We are still trying to settle into our daily routine and our mornings seem to improve every day.  In the past three weeks, young Webber has started sleeping over 8 hours at night (score!), started school, caught a fever and missed a few days of school, scratched his face (his hands are covered up tonight), and seen lots of family including Lala, Alice and almost all of his aunts, uncles and cousins (we miss our Tuscaloosa family)!
