The List

It's almost September and we only have four items on our 2010 list! Our list has certainly been neglected this year, but that does not mean the first eight months of 2010 have been uneventful!  Our list has a few rules - it can only contain things that we have not previously done together and if we do not get to all items on our list, the remaining are carried over until checked!

1.  Get Hitched! - check!

I married the man of my dreams on April 24 in Montgomery at the Church of the Ascension.  It was such a wonderful and special weekend and was certainly everything I could have asked for and more,  On the day of the wedding, it rained and rained, but we would not have changed anything about the day.  We certainly should have good luck for years to come!

2.  Attend the To Kill a Mockingbird play in Monroeville, AL

Not sure when we will attend this play as it typically only shows once a year in the Spring.  It has been on our list for at least two years now, and I have a feeling it will stay on the list for a few more years :).

3.  Dine at the Bright Star in Bessemer, AL - check!

This one has also been on our list for at least two years, but we finally made it last night!  Tory McPhail from Commanders Palace of New Orleans was a guest chef at the restaurant this weekend, and we were able to snag a table for a super early dinner.  The menu included meals from the Bright Star's usual menu as well as a few from Commanders Palace, and we both ordered fish from the Bright Star's side of the menu.  Our meal was delicious and I certainly hope we can go again soon!

4.  See a play at the Virginia Samford Theatre

We were actually talking about this today!  I am sure we would enjoy any showing at the theatre, but we still have not yet been! 

Now that we have settled in our home together, it's time to get a move on our 2010 list!
